The museum homes in on peasant life and its habits and customs, through collections of tools, everyday objects and reconstructions of homes. The lower rooms exhibit some very fine Sicilian carts - decorated with painted panels, incrustations and ironwork - children's games and handcrafted ex-votos bearing witness to the ardent faith of the people.
