The Michelin Guide's review
This modern building houses almost 300 objects and sculptures discovered at Palenque, such as jade and obsidian jewellery, superb ceramic censors from the Grupo de la Cruz, and stucco heads, including a portrait of Balam II. Among the highlights of the museum, don't miss the Tablero del Palacio, a tablet from the palace, which illustrates the passing of power from Pakal II to K'an Hoy Chitam II, his youngest son, as well as the polychrome stucco tablet from temple 19.
