The Michelin Guide's review
The imposing ruins of the monastery founded in the 10C stand in a beautiful setting that dominates the sea, the Cabo de Creus headland and the Gulf of Lion. The capitals of this outstanding church bear witness to a marked pre-Romanesque influence. The 12C bell-tower is a fine example of Lombardy Romanesque. In all, the place is one of remarkable architectural harmony. Other ruins, including the Castello de Sant Salvador de Verdera and the Santes Creus settlement, are nearby.
