This museum highlights the highly adventurous expedition of J.W. Powell (1834-1902) in 1869. A geologist, naturalist and explorer of the American West, he set off with four canoes and nine men (three of whom were killed during the expedition), with the aim of studying - for the first time - the Colorado and mapping out the river. He discovered the Grand Canyon.
