The Michelin Guide's review
The oldest temple in the town (dating from the 6C BC) was devoted to Hera, sister and wife of Zeus, known later by the Romans as Juno. You will notice its archaic character: swollen centre of columns and pronounced compression of the spine of the capitals, an illustration of the belief according to which buildings, like men, should swell under strain of effort and shrink under weight.
