This pass makes for an impressive lookout from which to enjoy views to the south of the great Plaine du Sous, lying almost 2 000m below and bordered by the Anti-Atlas. Just beyond the pass is a rather steep descent into the deep valley of Oued n'Fiss, which is exceptionally verdant and lined with several villages, while in the distance you can make out the highest peaks of the Atlas. The closest mountain faces present a remarkable contrast of colours - alternately red, purple and almond green, depending on the rock.
