Flanked at each end by two prismatic glass "turrets", the museum rises on the banks of the Ottawa river. Its bold beauty, light and airy exhibition spaces and tranquil interior courtyards provide a unique setting for the National Gallery of Canada's remarkable collections, which include Canadian, American, European and Asian art. The gallery is also home to the Canadian Photography Institute.
