The Michelin Guide's review
The thermopolium was a bar with a marble counter, shelves and paintings of the fruit and vegetables sold in the shop. Its name, from the Greek, means "sale of hot drinks". In summer, customers could enjoy their drinks in the small inner courtyard, while the seats set out on the street acted as a kind of pavement café.
