The Michelin Guide's review
The cathedral, built entirely out of sandstone, is Romanesque up to the blind arcades and Baroque above, with its red trachyte mascarons and dome covered with maiolica. From 1721 to 1733 it underwent a Baroque reconstruction that profoundly altered its 13C Gothic structure, itself built over a Romanesque building. The eclectic interior juxtaposes all manner of eras and styles.
