Durham Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
In its heyday, 64 trains and 10 000 people a day passed through this Art Deco-style Union Pacific Railroad station. Now restored, the Durham Museum is home to a large collection of exhibits relating to the history of the railways, including a waiting room with gold- and silver-leaf trim, 13ft chandeliers and a classic working soda fountain.
