The Michelin Guide's review
The Archaeological Museum of Olympia, which houses almost all of the artefacts discovered on the site, is one of the country's finest museums. Among the masterpieces of Classical art, don't miss the famous Hermes of Praxiteles. Sculpted out of Parian marble (4C BC), Hermes carries the infant Dionysos. You will also see reconstructions of the two pediments from the Temple of Zeus, the impressive marble bull, and a remarkable Zeus abducting Ganymede.
