The Michelin Guide's review
The Dandenong Ranges, culminating at 633m and comprising a national park of the same name, are a popular countryside retreat for Melburnians. The 32km²-park is home to forests of dripping tree ferns, emblematic of the park, and riddled with hiking trails. The iconic 1000 Steps, which go up through a wet fern gully, is one the most well-known, but not to be underestimated!
