The Michelin Guide's review
Contiguous to the northern Everglades, the 730,000-acre Preserve protects a portion of the Big Cypress Swamp, a rich variegated wetland covered with forests of bald cypress trees. A few giant cypresses still stand, but much of the land is now covered with dwarf cypress and saw grass prairie. The endangered Florida panther seem to particularly enjoy the spot.
