Frank W. Thomas House
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Considered the first true Prairie-style house by Frank Lloyd Wright, this 1901 commission abandons all features and ornamentation of Victorian design. The entrance arch below the main floor leads not to a door but to a staircase to a hidden entrance. Low-pitched roofs and high stucco walls are adorned with bands of colourfully glazed windows.
