The Michelin Guide's review
Đurđevi Stupovi Monastery, near Novi Pazar, was built by Stefan Nemanja in the late 12C. There is still an Orthodox church dedicated to St George, the dormitories and the front door. Some of the frescoes on the church walls were destroyed, the rest were added to the collections of the National Museum in Belgrade. This monastery, where King Dragutin is buried, has been rebuilt several times and is on UNESCO's list of national cultural heritage.
