The Michelin Guide's review
The town stands alongside a lake, which used to be an indentation on the coastline. The imposing ruins of the church are an indication of its importance in the Middle Ages. The 19C church contains a fine 16C altarpiece that was made in Brussels and had been commissioned for the earlier church. A picturesque row of "parish stables" reaches down to the edge of the lake. The Nordingrå region is known for its fishermen's chapels.
