The Michelin Guide's review
North of Noosa, the Noosa River crosses the Great Sandy National Park via an inextricable network of freshwater and brackish lakes, mangroves and stretches of rivers. A quiet aquatic world, whose immobile waters reflect the trees and clouds, and which call to mind the swampland of Florida, minus the crocodiles. Ospreys, cormorants, egrets, woodcocks, passerines, plovers, cockatoos and reptiles inhabit this rich ecosystem.
