The Michelin Guide's review
Nature has turned artist here, with erosion transforming the sandstone into some truly astonishing shapes across the 580km2 area of the Phu Phra Bat historical park. The paintings adorning the walls of the numerous caves in the park (such as Tham Wua and Tham Khon) bear witness to human presence in the region around 8 000-7 000 BC. To the east of the park, nestled in the middle of a remarkable group of boulders, note the beautiful seated Tham Phra Buddha.
