The Michelin Guide's review
An immense 98km-long strip of sand running between the Baltic Sea and the west coast of Lithuania, the Curonian Spit was set up as a national park and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its early history encompasses fact and legend; what is certain is that this is a magnificent landscape, a playground for lovers of the seaside, with endless expanses of sand and dunes. Among the resorts on the lagoon is the bustling yet picturesque Nida.
