The Michelin Guide's review
Focal point of the park, the 42ft Yaquina Bay Lighthouse first cast its light to sea in 1871. The light went dark only three years later, however, when the more powerful beam of the nearby Yaquina Head Lighthouse came on line, but it was relit in 1996 as an official aid to navigation. Visitors can tour the historic keeper's house, which serves as a small museum. From the park's cliff-edge viewpoint, across the parking lot from the lighthouse, you can gaze at Yaquina Bay and read the many interpretive signs.
