The Michelin Guide's review
This brick house, built c.1808, was home to three generations of the Cushing family. Its most famous occupant, Caleb Cushing, was the first US envoy to China in 1842. On display are furnishings that Cushing brought back from Asia, a small group of American primitives and a collection of silverware, clocks and needlepoint work.
