The Michelin Guide's review
Next to the Staten Island ferry terminal, you can't miss this beautiful Beaux-Arts building (1909) with its fully restored ironwork façade and repainted in its original colours. It houses a restaurant, a hotel and an auditorium. It was from here, until 1938, that the ferry to Brooklyn departed. Today, you can embark there to reach Governors Island, one of New Yorkers' favourite green spaces in the summer months.
