The Michelin Guide's review
Along with the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock is the other way to see Manhattan from high up. Lower down, from the terrace (259m) you can take in the Empire State Building amid the concrete jungle, and Central Park from closer. The splendid atrium, which rises on three glass-paned floors, presents the history of the Rockefeller Center. The observatory, which is narrow and elongated like a ship's deck, offers a wonderful view of Midtown: go up in the evening to enjoy the city lights.
