The Michelin Guide's review
The first bridge (1883) to link Manhattan and Brooklyn, this famed structure was considered one of the greatest engineering triumphs of the 19C. Stroll across it to enjoy what is undeniably one of the most dramatic walks in New York, taking in the stunning view of the city and the harbour through the filigree of cables. The best time to do so is the morning, as early as possible. In winter the sight at nightfall is splendid. However, avoid hanging around on the bridge alone in the evening.
