The Michelin Guide's review
This Georgian Revival mansion chronicles the history of New York. In addition to fascinating interior reconstitutions (17C-19C), including two rooms inspired by the Rockefeller house, the museum boasts a rich collection of everyday and decorative objects, and some very educational models. The city's maritime history and that of its port are naturally covered and one floor is devoted to toys with a beguiling collection of teddy bears.
