The Michelin Guide's review
This highly regarded institution houses an outstanding collection containing rare books, manuscripts, scores, drawings, artworks and precious objects assembled by finance baron and collector J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913). His son, Jr, brought these wonderful collections, enriched since then by private gifts, into the public domain. The holdings are housed in several buildings, including Jr's old home, linked by a contemporary structure designed by Renzo Piano.
