The Michelin Guide's review
Chinatown now occupies the streets that once welcomed new immigrants, Jewish, Irish then Chinese and its boundaries are constantly expanding. The current district has largely spilled over the original site to the north of Canal Street, into the former Little Italy, and to the east, it is slowly taking over the southern part of Lower East Side. Today, Chinatown is home to one of the largest Chinese communities outside Asia.
