Elegant Royal Street is wonderful for meandering, as you take in its shops and galleries occupying the ground floor of houses dating from the early 19C. They exhibit fine works of contemporary art and antique furnishings, and the upper part of the galleries is decorated with intricate or cast-iron volutes.
