Magnolia Hall
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Distinguished by ornately carved magnolia-motif ceiling medallions, Magnolia Hall was built in 1858 and was one of the few Natchez mansions to suffer shelling damage (from a gunboat) during the Civil War. Now owned by the Natchez Garden Club, the house includes a small costume museum upstairs, with hoop skirts, corsets, and mannequins outfitted in the antebellum garb worn by Natchez belles during the Spring Pilgrimage pageants over the past 20 years.
