Sanctuary of San Calogero

 Religious monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
The paved square in front of the church is a view point opening out onto the Paradiso Valley. Built in the 16 C, this sanctuary was remodelled in the Baroque period. The staircase leading to the crypt is decorated with an attractive Christ at the pillar in pink marble: the dark streaks evoke blood running from the wounds. In the crypt, visitors will see the cave where St Calogero, the "black saint" lived.
