The Michelin Guide's review
This former royal estate in the upper reaches of the city comprises the massive and austere palace, built between 1738 and 1838, and extensive grounds, which are home to the remains of the renowned Capodimonte porcelain factory. Inside the palace, an art gallery houses one of the best art collections in Italy, and the royal apartments. Masterpieces are to be found in each room - it is impossible to list them all. Come and see for yourself.
