The Michelin Guide's review
The embossed stone façade of the magnificent Palazzo Como is in the Florentine Renaissance style. It was built in the late 15C by the wealthy merchant Angelo Como, and houses the collections of Prince Gaetano Filangieri (1824-92): around 3 000 artefacts, including weapons, ceramics, porcelain, furniture and paintings by Ribera, Caracciolo and Mattia Preti et al. The palazzo itself is also worth taking in: note the spiral staircase and remarkable floor decorated with majolica.
