The Michelin Guide's review
This Provençal Gothic church of the Poor Clares was commissioned by Sancia of Majorca, the pious wife of King Robert the Wise. The interior, once richly Baroque, was rebuilt in the plainer style of the original Gothic, after a fire was caused by a bomb attack in 1943. The choir houses the tomb of Robert the Wise, made in 1345 by artists from Florence. Behind the sanctuary, the walls of the 14C coro still preserve traces of Giotto School frescoes (not open to visitors).
