Whaling Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This fine museum housed in an old candle factory is home to a wonderful collection of exhibits relating to the whaling industry, such as scrimshaws (engravings on the teeth of sperm whales), lightship baskets (made by sailors during their spare time on whaling expeditions) harpoons, ships models and an impressive skeleton of a 46-foot sperm whale. The terrace on the top floor offers superb views of the harbour.
