The Michelin Guide's review
Lake Nantua, 2.5km long and 650m wide, was formed in a water gap created behind a deposit left by a former glacier. The esplanade by the lake, shaded by handsome plane trees, and Avenue du Lac afford lovely views over the water framed by the peaks of the Haut-Bugey. In the peak season, numerous sporting and leisure activities are on offer.
