The Michelin Guide's review
The park is renowned for the diversity of its landscapes: high-altitude pasture (high stubble fields on the Petit Ballon and the Grand Ballon), the Plateau des Mille-Étangs, peat bogs, glacial cirques, lakes, rivers and hills covered with conifers... The park is also home to chamois, lynx, crayfish and trout, and you will also see Martagon lilies, great yellow gentians and bilberry growing here. The so-called "blue line of the Vosges" offers endless possibilities for exploration and relaxation.
