The Michelin Guide's review
The immaculate white walls and blue domes of this delightful church date from 1652; it was funded by local merchants with help from Tsar Alexeï Mikhaïlovitch. Note the delicate stone filigree of the kokoshniki in brackets, whose ingenuous beauty embodies the heyday of a style that was soon to be replaced by Narychkine baroque.
