The Michelin Guide's review
Ulitsa Ostozhenka connects Prechistenskiye Vorota Square with the neighbourhood of Khamovniki, beyond Zoubov Boulevard (Zoubovski Bulvar/Зубовский бульвар). This very old road is lined with recently renovated aristocratic residences. For example, see no 49, the Vsevolozhsky House (1817-25), nestled behind a colonnaded portico; no 37, a charming wooden hotel, where Ivan Turgenev lived from 1841 to 1851; and no 21, the Kekushev mansion (1901-03), a pretty Art Nouveau villa.
