Constantly changing, the marvellous Musée Royal de Mariemont has a layout that shows off its finest treasures to their best advantage. The Mediterranean world is particularly well represented, with Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Far Eastern antiquities (enamelware, lacquer work, jade pieces etc). In the basement there is a magnificent Hainaut province archaeology section, and a unique collection of Tournai porcelain. Mariemont's own history is also thoroughly illustrated.
