The Michelin Guide's review
Consecrated in 1296, it was named after the French abbey of Morimond, whence the Cistercians who founded it originated. It is depicted by Lombard details and a characteristic Cistercian layout. The interior bears witness to one of the first uses of the ogival arch and is home to a 16C chancel. The right-hand transept sports a mural of the Virgin with child surrounded by Saint Bernard and Saint Benedict and is attributed to Bernardino Luini.
