The Michelin Guide's review
This Baroque cathedral with a dash of the neoclassical (1640-1744) dominates the Plaza de Armas from atop its high towers and earthenware domes. On the outside to the left, the baptismal fonts give onto a magnificent 18C silver and gold baptistery. The inside doors of the cathedral, dyed and covered in hammered leather, evoke the Andalusian style. In the sacristy, admire the beautiful 16C paintings and a Christ figure made from cornpaste and honey according to a Pre-Hispanic technique.
