The Michelin Guide's review
Named after Marguerite d'Youville, founder in 1737 of the Grey Nuns' congregation, this pleasant square is surrounded by grand edifices that reflect the different eras of Montreal's history, from Grey Nuns' Convent dating from the 17C to the 19C warehouses and huge Customs' building built between 1912 and 1936 in the Beaux Arts style. The profusion of buildings undergoing restoration further adds to the charm of this district.
