The Michelin Guide's review
This museum charts the history of Alabama from the early 18C to the present day through an amazing collection of artifacts displayed in the aptly named "Alabama Voices" exhibition. Visitors hear speeches, readings of letters and diaries, songs and other sound archives that depict decisive events. A major section is devoted to the state's economy from the Antebellum to the Reconstruction eras.
