The Michelin Guide's review
Built in the 16C-17C, this cathedral has an interior of pure and austere lines. To the left of the doorway, the recumbent statue of Bartolomeo Aragazzi is by the Florentine architect Michelozzo. It once formed part of a tomb (other sections of the tomb have since been dispersed), as did the two statues flanking the main altar and the bas-reliefs of the first two pillars. Note the fine terracotta by Andrea Della Robbia above the baptismal font and the triptych of the Assumption by Taddeo di Bartolo from Siena (1401).
