The Michelin Guide's review
Standing at the entrance to the town, the high walls and five polygonal towers of this 14C fortress are remarkably well preserved (one is partially destroyed). A parapet walk affords wide-reaching views of the city. The keep once provided shelter for officers and nobility during times of siege. The ground floor is home to an excellent enoteca, where visitors can taste and purchase some of the local wines.
