The Michelin Guide's review
The lavish Grimaldi palace was built in the 17C on a 13C Genoan fortress, hewn out of the rock. From the Hercules Gallery, decorated with ancient frescoes, admire the main courtyard, adorned with three million pebbles. The double helix staircase leads to different salons and the Throne room where official receptions are held. In addition to rich furnishings, you will see some noteworthy portraits by Van Loo and Rigaud.
