The Michelin Guide's review
The Stamp and Coin Museum set up in a distinctive modern edifice houses an interesting retrospective of princely collections. There is the first stamp bearing the portrait of a Monaco sovereign produced in 1885 under the reign of Charles III. Before, letters were stamped with Sardinian stamps. From the Second Empire (1860), they began to bear the inscription "Monaco". The rare stamps collection will enchant philatelists.
