Carthusian Monastery Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The museum, devoted to the history of Molsheim and its region, from Prehistoric times to today, is housed in the priory of a Carthusian monastery (1598-1792). After the arrival of Jesuits, Capuchins and Carthusians, Molsheim became the religious capital of Alsace in the 17C. Part of the cloisters has been restored, as have two monks' cells. In another building, the Bugatti Foundation displays family mementoes and a few models of cars produced here between the two World Wars.
