The Michelin Guide's review
Overlooking the Mississippi River is Frank Gehry's awe-inspiring stainless-steel and brick building (1993). His mission was to not build "just another brick lump," and he succeeded. The undulating metallic structure holds a collection of mostly 20C American art, including the world's largest grouping of works by American Modernists Marsden Hartley and Alfred Maurer.
