Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Designed by David Adler in 1923, this mansion was modeled after a 16C northern Italian villa. With cypress-beamed ceilings and a lovely courtyard adorning the interior, the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum houses a collection of paintings, furnishings and decorative arts dating from the 15C to the 20C. Outside in the lovely Renaissance Garden, a "water staircase" cascades down a multitude of terraces toward Lake Michigan, coming to a halt at the formal gardens.
